I can sympathize with this. I myself have worked very hard to be like everyone else. My experience, however, has not been one of being a slave to conformity, but rather one of finally being accepted into a community, of not alienating nearly everyone I ever came into contact with and struggling to understand the inner workings of society. This is a great interpretation of thoughts and emotions during that time. Although with all of that it seems that many don't come to this realization for themselves into different times in their life. That is something I don't understand. Some times makes me wonder why it takes some so long.
